I've been watching season one of "The Wire" these past few days. It's an intense TV Series about drugs, police and corruption and plays on the interrelationship between society and the law. You follow several characters, one of which is D. D is an up and coming drug lord who is in control of the "Pit" and he faces turmoil when the "Game" isn't played right.
It got me thinking... about life as a game. We try to play the right cards so we can survive, whether it be at work, socially or even within our family dynamics. We will always face people who will put us down, make us struggle and plant a sense of doubt in our ability. All we can do is believe in ourselves to make it happen. Don't let other people make you doubt yourself. Maybe life is kind of like a game, but we don't have to play by no one's rules. Make your own rules.
As Omar says, "...the game's out there, and it's play or get played. That simple".
